At DC Polished Plastering, we take pride in the quality of our workmanship and aim to provide all clients with a fair, transparent, and professional service. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how we handle cancellations, refunds, and deposits in accordance with UK consumer law.
1. Deposits
1.1 A deposit may be required to secure your booking or to cover the cost of materials.
1.2 Once materials have been ordered or work has commenced, deposits are non-refundable.
1.3 If a cancellation is made before materials are purchased or work has started, a full or partial refund may be offered at our discretion.
2. Cancellations by the Client
2.1 Clients may cancel or postpone a scheduled job by providing at least 7 days’ notice in writing (via email or message).
2.2 Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit and/or additional charges for preparation, travel, or time allocated.
2.3 Repeated postponements may incur a rescheduling fee.
3. Cancellations by DC Polished Plastering
3.1 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule works in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather, illness, supplier delays, or safety concerns.
3.2 If we are unable to complete the agreed work, any deposits or payments made for unstarted work will be fully refunded.
3.3 In cases where partial work has been completed, we will only charge for the portion of work already carried out or materials used.
4. Refunds
4.1 Refunds will only be considered where payment has been made in advance and:

The client cancels in accordance with this policy; or

We are unable to complete the work due to circumstances within our control.
4.2 Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of the agreement or cancellation confirmation.
4.3 Refunds are made using the same method as the original payment, unless otherwise agreed.
5. Quality & Satisfaction
5.1 We take every measure to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
5.2 If you are not satisfied with the quality of workmanship, please contact us within 7 days of completion so we can inspect and, if necessary, correct the issue.
5.3 Refunds will not be issued for minor variations in texture, colour, or finish inherent to decorative plastering materials and techniques.
6. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

When work has been completed as quoted and agreed

For delays caused by client unavailability or lack of site access

When dissatisfaction arises from aesthetic preference rather than workmanship quality

For materials purchased specifically for a project after order confirmation
